It was a great windy dayyyy and from the looks of the pictures, it makes people wanna be out in the sun RIGHT?!
WELL we are good advertisers! hahaha we were actually complaining about the wind and the sun and the stickiness on our body. it was hellish during the afternoOn but in the evening everything just feels so niceee and breezy and yes, sleepy.

more korean busters this december (am still waiting for Joon Ki's Hero) but right now, there's IRIS and You're Beautiful. wahahha...some of my frens like You're Beautiful alot...it's sort of a gender bender drama (i like!!!) with goOd loOking guys (i like!!!)

Many people compared Park Shin Hye (main lead) with Goong and Coffee Prince's Yoon Eun Hye. Even from this picture, they kinda look alike lolss. but somehow i feel Eun Hye is prettierrrr and she's done Vogue early this year (i think).

Apart from Lady Gaga's, i tot these are the next scariest heels oomgg.

IRIS receive just as much attention due to the amt of $$ (approx. $20m) spent, a star studded cast, shooting of locations such as Hungary and they tried to go controversial by delving into N.Korean issues.

Plus IRIS seemed to have put together a fashion line: how to dress like a fugitive and still look HOT lolss.
I was soOOOoo attracted to this poster, esp of T.O.P and Kim So Yeon (2nd from right). T.O.P's look reminds me of the cover from Trendy featuring SS501:

room's still looking like a dumpster. indeed, dumpstier than ever!
3rd day of holiday and still not sick of it lols...instead, haven gotten down to watching all the shows i wanna watch online (mayb cos i've already finish watching some of them during the exam period =O)\

outta touch with korean dramas for quite a couple of months but there's a few nice dramas already showing or going to show like IRIS? must catch them soOoon.

instead, i'm hooked onto old animes, taiwan dramas and lady gaga. ooohhh yes. it's so amazing, she is.
don really like her at first...i even luffed when she came dressed in red threads (or shreds) for the awards.
it wasn't "just dance" that intro-ed gaga to me but "pokerface" cos they kept playing on the radio and even small little kids are singing it lolsss. it's quite adorable actually. her voice on pokerface sounded like a mix of gwen stefani and christina aguilera.

then i realize she's...adorable too! lols. i only took more notice when i had to youtubed ellen's clips from the ellen show and there was this short 4mins interview on her and she was wearing the orbitary planet headdress (that was a 2008 interview) and then i realized how sweet her voice sounds (and how it differs with each song she sang)! and very cute too. she was even cuter with the bow on her head lols. i still wonder how she tied that heees. and her interview; you can see the sparkle in her eyes when she talks about music and her work; there's just so much pride in it. Probably cos she did everything by herself from songwriting to choreographing to directing which is amazing~

my personal favourites are Love Game and Monster. But i like acoustic Bad Romance~

and then it was her singing that sounded goOd even live and how she sings acoustic for almost every song she performed (why don't she release an acoustic album already!!). and her songs make you wanna watch her over and over again (even if she sings Bad Romance in 10 different venues) cos her costumes and gimmck acts and dramatic appearances (my favourite one was when she smashed the glass after Love Game to play the piano and then the piano was on fire) made everything seems novel and eyepopping everytime.

Ok enough said lols.

the past few days, i learn alot from watching...

DRAMAS & ANIME!

i learnt to apply the word 'kawaii' (how it's used, how it's portrayed, how girls use it) in different context.
i learnt about the inner feelings of hosts in host club (sabisu if i nv rmb wrongly) hehehe..
i learnt about the different ways people in postwar Japan framed 'family' *nod nod*....but at the same time, i see how gender roles within the traditional nuclear family is defined.

LOLS this is my 1st time having my lecture in such a big LT (which lecture do you have ushers to welcome you? lolsss). it was a pleasant event; won't say it's really exciting BUT i almost teared on quite a few occasions when videos of certain people were shown and when David read the story of "The Giving Tree"...

and we got to see sarah (that's her with David our lecturer)....she was sitting in the front rows as well and oh my, she's seriously tall and lanky (perhaps at least half a head taller than David if she stood up)

i'm seriously impressed by the efforts other groups have put up. They set the bar so high that u'll think dey only have this module to study for =S. am embarrassed with myself lOls..

and thanks sx for showing your concern; i was almost speechless at your reaction when i asked for sweet.

This module (with damn hard exam qns sobs sobs) was a worthwhile uni experience, i must say. It's unconventional and I had a great tutor, great tutorial group and great group mates lolsss.

kinda glad i took this instead of erm, forensic science & reproductive organs lols!

i have officially x3 caught the F.D- the Facebook disease/ disorder..

hahahas. one of a kind lectures as my entry title suggests.
well you know it's week 13 and it's review lectures time..so Anne Raffin was saying we're always very stressed and if anybody asks for exam tips *at this point in time perhaps some are leaning in to listen*...

we should MEDITATE!LOLS.
so we spent close to 10-15mins meditating (or trying to mediate) lolsss. it was confusing instructions ..i din noe if i am to inhale and then exhale through my mouth or exhale through my nostrils. she was a bit frenzied lol...in fact the whole LT was laughing and then she off-ed the lights; there was supposed to be 'the most relaxing music in the world' HAAAH but she couldn't figure out the audio @ that time so we spent the 5 minutes in darkness and silence lols.

dunno what's the exact link she used but if u need time to calm your nerves, i've got one here! *waves* seriously quite relaxing hahas.

and then it was MNO lecture where he gave away 50 bucks (yes again) but this time with no conditions/ tricks involved. lol..lucky guy who got it!
I'm kinda looking forward to the ZOE Film Festival cos i've never been to the UCC before (yess suaku me after like wad 3 years).

Received 5-6 compliments today...LOL and all in 1 tutorial!
got back our project results, it's a decent grade (but everyone has decent grades soOO it all depends on the bell curve. AGAIN.)

i dunno about the other classes but i can tell everyone in my class put in alot of effort (in filming, in video editing, in aesthetics) on top of all the academic requirements we had to fulfill.

didn't manage to post it but here it is, our 2 mins trailer. The actual 10min video is more technical so unless u've been in MNO class, the back parts won't make much entertainment sense hahas. But if you're interested, you can youtube it yourself~

this trailer was done @ 2+am becos of the big problem we had before 2am lolsss and i couldn't sleep until I was sure everything's fine. All my group members worked really hard, esp. Shihui and Caroline becos they lived in hall so they had to fix everything up before the deadline day =|. Altho not a great loOking video, it's still ours and mine and I will still cherish it!

<3 fahrenheit =))) my long awaited fahrenheit drama no.1 is here! quite a ridiculous plot LOLS.

wheeee. finally i can relax a little!!
i was actually half skipping home after i handed in my soci paper lOls.
the past 3 weeks have really a mad rush with pressing deadlines & stress from juggling and multi-tasking.
sad to say, i din complete weeksss of readings and so my reading week's got alot of catching up to do.

note to self: i don't think i wanna do a video project again. The process is fun with filming and i personally like video editing but it takes a toll on my time when i have other things to concentrate on. But i guess my group really bonded and it was such a joy to watch the video =)...no matter how not great it is, i guess being ur own creation, u can't help but feel a sense more of pride in it lols.

holidays seem so far away but my mind's not thinking of that yet. holidays will come but i still have LOADS (or 100%) of stuff not clear...pls don't come so quickly till i can't catch my breath. i wanna go slow~

i mean how could i have missed this movie right when it came out?I would've/ should've made a mental note to watch (at least in my lappie if i'm nt going to the theatres).

well it all started with my groupmate calling the other groupmate, Caroline by Coraline because she was so confused with the 2 names lols. For a while, i wasn't bothered with the movie because it had a boring name...What the heck..but a quick search about Dakota Fanning (because she'll be starring in New Moon) made me realized she was the lead character of this dark fantasy...oOo plus points cos i'm a sucker for Tim Burton-style films (altho this one isn't but it resembles almost perfectly. If you like nightmare before christmas, you'll like this one.

For one thing, Coraline seems to be a re-telling of a very specific fairy tale: one that has been told in different forms fairly recently. Key examples that come to my mind are Miyazaki’s Spirited Away and Pan’s Labyrinth by Guillermo del Toro. In all three these movies, a young girl on the eve of puberty is moving with her parents into a new house, leaving one set of friends behind, entering a new, unfamiliar, and slightly daunting new world (an unnamed city in Spirited Away, a countryside mansion in Pan’s Labyrinth).

when i can't keep up with my assignments and required hwk and readings + hectic change in scheduling..
i am increasingly less integrated with my assignments and deadlines.

i feel a sense of alienation...
where i dunno wad i'm doing anymore
for i am separated from my original mode of thinking..i'm learning soci/ other modules but i end up learning how to write a decent essay/ how to tweak my questions/ how to tweak my answers.

i feel a sense of disenchantment...
where my means are its ends...i do my stuff for the sake of doing it..for the sake of fulfilling the grades i want (if i can even come close to)
i dun do it because of the intangibles/ the meaning but in the mundane.

went out to town to do filming for my mno project.
My 1st attempt and i frightened off a stranger...i guess i was too loud & enthu..i was like tapping his shoulder and went "hey!" then he jumped HAHAHA. but thanks god dey did it for us in the end..

of course big groups (and younger people) were easier...more than willing. I was quite embarrassed for them also becos they said it pretty loud and wif a huge camera, passers-by actually stopped @ look at us and them hahahas.

We were roaming around esplanade and marina square, hoping to find friendly people..oh my oh my, kept gushing abt this..
We were quite hesitant about approaching the salon (cos there're alot of them and not all are attending to customers) and the hair stylists who were all guys; almost all of them are goOd loOking, if not fashionable lolsss. Shihui and I were damn high: i think we like the same type of people hahas. I always admire hairstylists~

there's so many of them and u dunno which 1 to look at lols.

They were damn shy and only 1 could read English so the rest didn't film..but i love their style hahas and they're quite friendly. there was this hair stylist who was around 1.6m but he was super cute with bangs, slightly rosy cheeks and a black hat...hahaha seriously makes me wanna cut hair there and just stare @ them (but too bad hahas.)One of them who was cutting hair kept staring due the commotion we were making & the big camera..wondering if he paid attention to what he's doing lols.

this year i'm much busier (i haven watched any drama for the past 3 nights!!! that's like zomg already for me) partly cos of projects and meeting different groups of friends.

OMG. i haven started my work yet..these past few days have been doing projects and going out. There's so much to do for next week...like read my readings, facilitate tutorial discussion, write my JS and edu paper, watch my webcasts zZzz.

and i won't be free to do any of this for the next 2 days before monday starts. But it's a happy kind of stress hahaha. altho i noe it's sending me to doom if i dun make some time and effort!

don't intend to blog this until after my birthday marathon is over but i tot i'll just be celebrating wif my ex colleagues for dinner & after dinner chill BUT they surprised me with a birthday cake! I was seriously unaware and shocked lolsssss...no wonder my ex-boss was acting really not himself & jenelle was a lil strange...he'll usually disturb me or pull a few jokes but he was distant and 'busy' lolss.

not sure if i should go back during hols to help them hmmm.

First time filming for our MNO project..my i tot it was seriously embarrassing to hold the guitar hero mic and play reporter..but apparently, we din get too many stares @ Central Forum lolsss.

First time going around asking people. It was really funny and cute when you see strangers/ friends doing the pledge, especially with that tiny cocktail umbrella lolsss. AND my lecturer David looked the most serious when he was doing it hahaha like he was making some parliament speech.

First time attending a lecture just to watch a movie. wow. We watched John Q. it's a movie i'll never pick to catch because i'm not really drawn to human drama but it's a goOd movie & i teared..while there're some people who really cried till their eyes were bloodshot. It was a great movie; reminds me of Grey's Anatomy esp. when the ethics part comes in.

Before the movie, we (or I) wanted to get some snacks and we came across a table of people making popcorn and the guy was like sorry not for sale cos they're making it for a lecturer and it turns out they're making for David! WoOhoO! the popcorn had been ours to begin with~

First time doing my qualitative interview. Now, there's alot of lessons learnt. Gana is right. pen and paper is the best (altho i'm a comp lover, i suck @ using comp and interviewing pple @ the same time). Recorder is MY ultimate saviour cos i was too distracted to take down proper notes.

He said "if you're able to use 30% of the data, it's good enough". I totally overestimated myself mans lolssss. And yesss i need to rethink/ reframe/ redo my way of questioning.

And i realize each interview i took almost an hour. OMG. time flies crazily in there.

I have so much more to learn.
